Amazing ingredients in simple combinations. We do as little to the ingredients but enough. You can call it an Italian philosophy through a Nordic filter. Most seasons we harvest same day - often minutes - before serving. You don’t find any fancy machines or techniques in our kitchen. Just good craftmanship, good vibes, integrity and too loud music. Only source of heat is fire.

Stedsans means sense of place (lokalsinne in Swedish). It’s our way to interprest the French term terroir. You can taste where and when you are.

Stedsans is the only kitchen we know of that doesn’t start cooking the day/days in advance. We like fresh food.

Our region, Halland, is a very special place. We are surrounded by forest and lakes, but also by 3 regenerative farms, 3 micro dairies a game buthery, experienced mushroom and berry pickers and more. This is ingredient paradise.

Stedsans is way beyond organic. Clean food is a philosophy we have worked with for many years. A philosophy that also influences our choice of material, soaps, the way we communicate (we don’t yell) etc.

At our dinners we want our guests to experience our take on a truly sustainable, high vibrant meal. We call ourselves happitarians. We like fresh, vital greens, but we also serve meat from animals who only had one bad day in their lives. In our view soil and people need animals to stay healthy. We are not good at compromises on taste, well-being and sustainability.

Due to the remote location of the restaurant we do not recommend people with severe/fatal food allergies to visit us.

With the food we serve natural wines and/or homemade alcohol free alternatives made on herbs from our medicinal garden and plants from the forest.
